"I was a young athletic Firefighter/ Paramedic until I turned 22 years old and sustained a serious back injury at my job. My back and SI Joints severely bothered me for 11 months to the point that I could no longer perform my job duties and my active lifestyle seemed to be a thing of the past. I went to a specialist who did MRI’s, epidurals, and multiple SI joint injections which cost thousands of dollars, and none of this worked! My lifestyle was completely gone. No longer could I respond to 911 calls at work or play sports such as basketball and racquetball. I couldn't practice martial arts, surf, or even ride a motorcycle. I tried everything on the internet and in books to get better, including ridiculous stretches, buying certain exercise devices, changing my sleeping position, buying a new bed, etc and none of this really had any effect. It just cost me a lot of time and money. On top of all this I had a specialist tell me recovery was next to impossible.I remember meeting Marcus and the first thing I told him was “I appreciate you working with me, but I just don't think there's anything you or me can do that is going to help me fully recover.” Simply put, Marcus replied, “We will get you there”. Marcus was the first doctor and person I had met in 11 months who truly seemed to care about whether I could overcome my injury or not. If I ever had a question about how to perform an exercise, Marcus would gladly spend time showing me what to do. About two weeks into therapy, against what I thought was possible, my back and SI joints started to feel much better. I continued doing physical therapy for another month and by the end I was feeling better than I had ever felt before being injured in the first place. Soon after, I returned to full duty as a Firefighter /Paramedic where I have since responded to hundreds, if not thousands of 911 calls. Since working with Marcus I have also been able to ride my motorcycle again, play the sports I enjoy, and do martial arts. As I mentioned earlier, nothing else had worked, specialists said this was the end of the road, and a full recovery was next to impossible. I would recommend any family member or friend to Marcus for physical therapy." -Conner M

I first met Dr. Marcus Anderson at a different physical therapy center after my rotator cuff repair surgery. He worked on my shoulder during my recovery, and I was immediately impressed by the level of care and attention he gave to my treatment. When I later experienced another injury, I specifically sought him out again and was so happy to find that he had opened his own practice, GH2 Wellness. From the very beginning, I knew I would receive the same, if not better, level of care. What truly sets Dr. Anderson apart is how personalized his approach is. My therapy plan was customized specifically for my injury and my body, not a generic list of exercises. In the past, at other clinics, I often felt like I was just handed exercises and left alone, with very little correction, feedback, or real tracking of progress. It sometimes felt like I was simply being moved through the system. With Dr. Anderson, that has never been the case. He pays close attention to form, posture, and improvement, and he makes adjustments as needed. Even more than that, he takes a true whole-person approach. He asks about physical health, mental well-being, diet, stress, and sleep- all of the factors that affect recovery and long-term health. It feels like he genuinely cares about your overall wellness, not just treating the injury. I am extremely grateful for the care I’ve received at GH2 Wellness and highly recommend Dr. Marcus Anderson to anyone looking for a physical therapist who is knowledgeable, attentive, and truly invested in your recovery and well-being.
